Ensure your pet has housing and care while you or a loved one are transitioning to safety.
If you or someone you know is a domestic violence survivor, pets no longer have to be a factor when making the choice to leave an abusive situation for residents of Delaware. We've teamed up with CHILD, Inc. and People’s Place, two Delaware domestic violence shelters, to provide victims of abuse free housing and care for their pets, as they transition to safety. Please contact the shelters directly on their hotline numbers regarding services.
Domestic violence and cruelty to animals are, unfortunately, tightly linked. People prone to hurting other people all too often hurt animals. Reporting animal cruelty save families from suffering, along with their pets.
It’s scientifically proven: dogs boost our mental health. Spending quality time with your pup lowers blood pressure, eases muscle tension, and helps regulate our breathing. Return the favor by looking after your dog’s emotional and physical health. Learn why it matters and what you can do to keep your dog emotionally and physically healthy.
Dogs’ lives are short but precious. Like us, physical and mental health can have a direct impact on dogs’ longevity. Take good care of them, and they will likely be at your side that much longer.
Unfortunately many people only visit their veterinary clinic when their pet is not feeling well, and they are missing out on the real benefits of what a veterinary clinic has to offer. Partnering with a trusted vet clinic can help to reduce those sick pet visits.
A lot of veterinary services are focused on providing preventive care which can help to keep your pet healthy, and happy. One of the first things you should do when you get your new pet is to partner with a veterinary clinic.
