Pet food assistance

Struggling to feed your pets? We can help.

Pet Food Pantry

Our Pet Food Pantry is here for you if you are struggling to feed your pet or a community cat colony.

Helping families stay together

No pet should end up in a shelter simply for financial reasons. Our free pet food pantry provides a bridge during times of need.

Shop the pantry

We are open late during the week and Saturday and Sunday for your convenience.

The pantry is open at all shelters.

Tuesday – Friday from noon to 7:00pm
Saturday & Sunday from 11:00am to 5:00pm

Animeals

We have a state-wide partnership with Delaware Meals on Wheels to provide pet food to their clients in every county in the state.

The love of a pet is priceless

Pets provide invaluable emotional support and company to all families, but especially those unable to leave their home.

Meals for homebound seniors

We complement the Meals on Wheels program with monthly home delivery of pet food to homebound seniors.

Thousands of pounds a year

Our program depends entirely on food donations from the community and manufacturers.

We delivered 70,000 pounds of food

That's in a single year. The pandemic, the economy and other factors have made it harder for families to care for the pets they love. We've stepped up our efforts to get those families food, with a record 70,000 pounds of pet food distributed.

Help feed pets in need

Open the door to endless possibilities. Together, we will create positive change within our community, help control the homeless animal population, and improve the lives of pets and their families.
